Taking some artistic license with real estate advertising

Kay & Burton

The Brief: Kay and Burton needed a spring campaign that would also tie into their 80th year in business as well as their partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria.

Client: Kay & Burton

Category: Creative Campaign

The Idea: ‘Making real estate an artform since 1938’. Our angle here was bypassing the usual real estate photography with a more artistic approach – finding those amazing angles and elements in people’s houses that are artwork unto themselves. It fit perfectly with Kay & Burton since their brand is known for having an eye for detail and expertise while their audience’s biggest interest (after real estate) was art. In our video we also placed elements inspired from famous pieces of artwork – Botticelli’s clam, Magritte’s apple, Van Gogh’s sunflowers.

What We Did:

Campaign Strategy
Production – print/billboards
Digital and Social Media

The Results:

The campaign performed extremely well for Kay & Burton and went on to earn recognition and accolades from the real estate industry. Kay & Burton achieved market share growth in a declining market across all market segments and significant growth in all its marketing KPIs, despite its market being down 23% year on year. The campaign also won Digital Campaign of the year at the 2019 REB Awards.
