We get those big global agency results without all that hierarchy and politics weighing us down. TOFU is a completely independent full-stack agency that pushes creative boundaries, utilises new technologies and backs it up with data driven solutions.

We’re a friendly bunch of tech-heads, creative types and content producers who have come together to build an environment that fosters innovation, success and above average table-tennis skills.

Our vision is that digital and social should be at the heart of everything we work on (you know, the future and all that).

TOFU is a full-service, fully independent creative agency that has a vast range of services and scalable resources to accommodate small to large-scale projects.

Our Team:

Evan Karas | Director

Evan is the best person in the whole wide world and I’m not just saying that because he pays me. It’s hard to find the words that describe Evan’s beauty, both externally and internally (and I won’t try because it’s above my pay-grade). But in all seriousness, Evan’s accomplishments are vast and tedious to type out – he’s been in advertising so long you’d think he must either be a vampire to look so young, or has a magical ring that some Hobbits are trying to destroy (actually, that explains a lot).

Sarah Breen | Operations Director

Sarah Breen is a woman of many talents. Having the job title of Office Queen might seem slightly authoritarian, rest assured, Breenie is a benevolent ruler. Just like the real queen, Breenie is also a pom, although unlike the real queen Breenie rides a vespa and is yet to feature on the $5 bill. In terms of actual facts, Breenie is a finished artist, a designer, tech support, administration, surveillance, espionage and license to kill.

Aaron Rocca | Producer

Aaron is a walking, talking encyclopaedia of Melbourne cafes, restaurants and anything with ‘gastro’ on its Zomato page. If you let him, he’ll regale you with stories about where ‘x’ café sources its distinctive, signature cheese (hint: it’s from a family-owned dairy farm in Bulgaria where the grandmother only milks the cows during a full moon because it helps the creaminess or something). But yeah, Aaron’s actually a really good Producer…don’t tell him I said that.

Kim Melvin | Art Director

Kim’s a total swot with like 4 degrees, but the most important is her scuba-diving license accreditation from Shillington College of Witchcraft and Design. Doing designer stuff and Art Director stuff for over 3 years now, Kim knows how to kern a headline, compliment people on colour coordinating their outfits (I get this daily because I’m a #fashionista) and push pixels to within an inch of their lives.

Ryland Summers | Copywriter

Ryland’s life goal is to be mistaken for Forest Gump in that scene where he runs across America (that, or Jesus in that Bible scene where he runs across America).  Always on hand to make a tired pun, obscure TV reference or bore you with his opinions on Star Wars, Ryland occasionally writes genuinely (half decent, let’s not get ahead of ourselves) copy, scripts and robustly worded letters to the casts of now-cancelled 90s television shows (looking at you Agro’s Cartoon Connection).

Tracey Hasselerharm | AM

Tracey is both tall and has the worst eyesight in the office, meaning she can dunk a basketball, but can’t find the ring. Also she doesn’t play basketball. Tracey has a background in media communications and a foreground which she struggles to see without glasses. Although Tracey sounds like she’s a Kiwi, she’s in fact from Perth and picked up the accent when she fell asleep listening to an audiobook of Peter Jackson reading the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Olivia Boyd | Producer

Liv is the youngest member of TOFU, meaning she knows what the Kardashian-Jenners are up to and I don’t. After studying at RMIT, Liv had a stint in Account Management but soon found her calling in Production. Liv says she always cries watching Cheaper By The Dozen (I’ve never seen it, but I have seen 12 Angry Men, which is #8 on IMDB so…you know). Liv is also known to give her pipes a bit of a workout at karaoke with some Mariah Carey (10/10 would recommend).

Leigh Cooke | Editor

Leigh tells me he has never been in trouble with the law. If there’s two things Leigh knows, it’s video editing and wearing the hell out of a baseball cap (and he’s never mixed the two up…except that one time). Leigh actually grew up 1km from me but unfortunately our paths never crossed, which is probably for the best, since it would have changed the entire space-time continuum and I probably wouldn’t be writing this bio. Did I mention he’s really good at video editing? I think I did.

Dan Crowely | Strategy & AM

Dan came to TOFU through a witness protection program which I’ve already said too much about. Having studied at Shakespeare’s school (Stratford-upon-Avon) you’d think Dan would be quick with a sonnet, but alas, t’was not to be. In his spare time Dan hates cheese (caused by a traumatic group photo incident) and watches Indiana Jones movies (except Crystal Skull because it’s trash). Dan has an inability to burp which makes it hard for me to trust him.

Chloe Herald | Designer

Created in a lab 304 years in the future under the codename C.H.L.O.E. (Cybernetic Human-Like Outlaw Executioner), Chloe came to TOFU during an electrical storm. During her spare time Chloe likes making things (battle axes, death rays, arts and crafts) as well as growing things in her garden that will help the environment (that plant from Little Shop of Horrors). Before Chloe’s cyborg brain was uploaded with graphic design knowledge, it was first encrypted with a fashion degree. Chloe enjoys Curb Your Enthusiasm.
